Ford introduced a turbocharged Ford Fiesta ST models at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show recently. Borrowing heavily from the performance-tuned Ford Focus, the new Fiesta ST will have just enough added pepper to make your heart beat faster. The cars will also share exterior aesthetics, including LED headlights, a honeycomb grille, 17-inch wheels, and lower intakes with round fog lights. To make the Ford Fiesta ST concept stand out from the crowd, Ford has added new exterior and interior features.
Exterior Features
- Blistered hood
- hoop style rear wing
- Side sills
- Lowered ride height and flared wheel arches.
Interior features:
- High contrast color scheme
- Sporty dash
- Recaro bucket seats
The most exciting aspect of the tiny, yet tenacious Ford Fiesta ST, however, is its go-get-'em spirit. How does an impressive 180 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque - enough to get the car from 0-60 mph in only seven seconds - sound? What about a top speed of 135 mph? Well, the Ford Fiesta ST promises both
Happily, rumor has it that this global "concept" is closer to being a production model than Ford has let on. We might see a worldwide release as early as 2013! It will probably first arrive in Europe, with the market for three-door hatchbacks much more demanding there than in the U.S. Don't worry, though. It'll be here soon! And, Norris Ford, located at 901 Merritt Blvd. promises to let you know as soon as it rolls into the showroom. Can't wait to get behind the wheel of a Ford?
